Welcome to the Uganda Sociological and Anthropological Association (USAA), a professional body dedicated to advancing sociological and anthropological knowledge, research, and practice in Uganda. Our association brings together scholars, researchers, and professionals working to understand and address societal issues through rigorous analysis and practical solutions.
The Uganda Sociological and Anthropological Association, or USAA, is a non-profit organization representing professional anthropologists and sociologists in Uganda. In 2006, the sociology department of Makerere University came up with the concept for USAA. The association’s first formal general meeting at Hotel Africana was on August 8, 2006.
